KABUL: After a halt on the regular morning 6:30 session, First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh said the meeting would continue but the details would not be shared with the media.
“The Afghan people should be assured that happy news is on the way to them but bad news waiting for the militants,” he said on Saturday in a statement.
The meetings would be more authorized and would expand its focus on the government activities, Saleh said.
VP Saleh praised the Afghan security forces for fighting the militants and called on the people to play their role in bringing stability in the country.
War in Afghanistan is against material and intellectual assets, he added, referring to the ongoing severe violence.
Previously, Saleh said that he would attempt to bring some reforms in the security system in Kabul. The unqualified security personnel, he said, would be dismissed.
This comes as the representatives of the people in the lower house of the parliament expressed criticisms on VP Saleh, saying that the meetings he holds in the morning didn’t bring any effectiveness in the security situation in Afghanistan, particularly Kabul city.
